The caption reads: "This photo was taken around 1947 of the Whiten Store located on Fourth Street in Atironto. It was owned by William Joseph Whiten who sold hot dogs, hamburgers and penny candies. The kids in the neighbourhood would bring in their empty pop bottles and buy candy. Pictured here are Grandpa Whiten in the store and Gail Whiten with the puppy and two unknown customers. Collection of Brent Whiten."
