. â€" v -vvuaulufla We expected this report from a gentleman, acquainted with all who took part in the program but, failing to receive it we undertake its repro- duction from memory trusting that, under the circumitances. we may be pardoned for errors and emissions. Mr. Graham who rejoiced in the auc- -w- . ....... u cu. bllU lUUb 01 (De â€I“ as well as the lemonade stand was liberally patranized. "' Johnny Graham †the teacher, was a happy man. His greatest expectations have been surpassed. Active and ener- getic. he catered to the comforts of the visitors and when the sun passed beneath the western horizon, he some of his toils were over and that he could soon take a well earned rest. The program was va- ried, consisting of patriotic speeches, swinging. singing. dancing, wire walking and pyrotechnics. FRIDAY last was a scorcher of the ï¬rst water but that didn’t prevent those who knew the treat in store from attending the annual picnic at Edge Hill. This is a yearly aflair that has grown to such immense proportions that pleasure lovers from far and near strain a point to get' there. From early noon until ï¬ve or six o’clock convevances of all kinds were seen driving towards the picnic grounds. The crowd was so great that our readers who were not present would scarcely believe, even Tun CHRONICLE were we to venture on stating half the number. The day was a roaster and the clear crys- tal stream at the foot of the hill as Baby Eczema and Scald Head. Infants and young children are peculiarly s: bject to this terrible disorder and if not promptly arrested it will eventually become chronic. Dr. Chase made a study of Eczema and disease of the skin, and we can confidently recommend Dr. Chase’s Ointmint to cure all forms of Ez- cema. The ï¬rst application soothes‘ the irratation and puts the littlei suflerer to rest. Kincardine Review.â€"Postmaster- General )lulock has, at last, met his match. He wrote to a postmaster named Lefebre in Bonaventure county telling him that he was dis- charged for his offensive partisan ship during the last Dominion election campaign. The postmaster paid no heed to the letterâ€"not through any desire to be discourt- eons to Mr. Mulock, but simply and solely because he was dead. The fact that he died three months before the elections took place makes his conduct during the campaign all the more reprehensible. Postmasters have no rightâ€"â€"-they have absolutely no right we say-â€"to take an active part in politics even when they are living. It is Inï¬nitely worse to keep up their oflensive partisanship after they are dead. We are not in- formed juSt what part Mr. Lefebre took in the last elections but we surmise that he marshalled the graveyard vote for the Conservative party. Mr. Mulock did perfectly right in dismissing the late Mr. Lefebre from his ofï¬ce. A man The general report throughout the country shows that never before were the crop prospects better at this season. People are becoming more cheerful and conï¬dent in the future.
