Hughes, of New York, Spent. a. few days last week with his cousins, the Hughes family here. Miss Lena \Volfe. accompanied by her friend Miss Macdonald visited the former’s parents here over Sun- day. Mr. T. C. Morton attended the meeting of the Grand Camp, Sons of Scotland this week as delegate from Ben Nevis Lodge here. Messrs \V. J. Lawson, and Ed' Briggs of Owen Sound were in town Friday last, and put in a successful day fishing in this vicinity. Miss Maggie Macdonuld. who was taken seriously ill a few days ago is improving, but; not. so rapidly as her friends would desire, We hope to see her round again soon. MrJoseph H. Lauder, of Omaha, Nebraska, who has been absent for the past nine years, arrived in town Monday night last, and will Spend some time visiting his mother, sisters and other friends and relatives in town and vicinity. For the past six years Mr. Lauder has been engaged ,with the Fleischman Yeast Co and tis‘enjoying this, his first holiday since his engagement.
