He now Mr. Mrs. David Lamb, of Wini- pez, visited for a few days last week at Mr. Geo. Lamb’s. Dave has been out west now for over fifteen years employed during that time by the C. P. R. Co. at a good salary. Master John A. Lamb left last week to attend the Owen Sound Coll. Inst. where he will furthur pursue his studies. Mr. Joseph Boyle has arrived home from Manitoba in rather poor health We understand he is not in love with the country out west. Mr. Mrs. Thos. Townsend and family will in the course of a few weeks leave for Iowa, U. S Mr. Thomas Jack has leased Mr. T’s farm for a term of years. A wedding will take place i near future. Particulars later ‘ Mrs. Willamson has been in health for the last three weeks. Mr. John Townsend is home on a visit to his paxents from Iowa, U. S. Some nine years have elapsed since John left this locality. Miss Malinda Grasby is up from Scar- boro’ for a fortnight’s visit with her mother. Miss Jane Mathews is home from Toronto for a few weeks’ holidays. Mrs. J. E. Burrows, of Paisley, wasfdown visiting her mother who had a rather un- fortunate fall a week ago. Mr. John Mead, of Akron, U. S., is visit- ing his mother and brother this week. He enjuys much the fresh air and pure water of this country. Principal Rowe. of Markdale School accompanied by Mr. R. and Mrs. W. Benson. recently visited for a few days with Mr. Mrs. Geo. Mr. Cam bell, of Dromore, preached in the schoo here on Sunday night. Unfortunately the meeting was not long announced, but the mere mention of his name ensures a turn out. At 5:15 o’clock the groom entered from the right side, and after a brief interval the bride entered from the left leaning on her father’s arm who con- ducted her to the altar. The knot was tied by the Rev. J. W. Magwood in the presence of about seventy-five guests. The groom was supported by M r. H. Doupe. while Miss Danbrook, sister of the groqn. assisted the bride. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party re:ired to the residence of bride wherea reception was held. Many and costly were the presents which showed the esteem in which they were held.
