For some time, in fact, for some years, Mr. Jack has lbeen in failing health, but up to a ‘ few weeks ago his frail, but familiar form, could be seen on the streets every day. We have not been able to get particulars for a lengthy obit- uary notice, but shall endeavor to do so next issue. From our acquaint- ance with the deceased gentleman we know him to have been a great reader and a man of high intelligence, . very Sociable, and until weakened by failing health an entertaining conver- sationist. He was a member of the Masonic body here, and under their direction the last honors were con- ferred on him in the interment on Tuesday. Our sympathies are ex- tended to the family in their bereavement. ,__ â€"'-v Four town by so desirable. a piece of public property.
