Two candidates were init- iated into the mysteries of the Order and at the conclusion of busineas an enjoyable season was spent. at the refreshment table. A moving pictures exhibition waa given by a travelling company in the Town Hall here on Saturday awning last. There wasa good sized autii ence and, we understand, the pict- ures were very good. Mr. S. Damude, of Toronto was in town on Saturday last. Mrs. J. \V. Henderson. of Toronto, is visiting relatives in this place and vicinity. Miss Kate Bellamy is visiting her sister at Proton. Mr. Oscar Phillips. who has been the past year 111 the employ of Mr. D. Mc’l‘avish left on Monday to take a situation with Mr. Chas. Pedlar, Nip- pawa. Man. Gib- son, who has been a. worker in the School for seventeen years, and who is about to leave this place. with a beautifully morocco bound Teacher’s Bible. Mr. Gibson made a suitable reply. warmly thanking the Sabbath School for their highly appreciated token of esteem. The congregation suflers a further loss by the removal of Mr. and Mrs. James Dyce. from Ceylon. to their farm in Proton. Mrs. Dyce has been. for some time. a valuable teacher in the Sabbath School and an energetic President for the Ladies’ Aid Society. Rev. M. M. Bethune, who assisted at the union evangelistic meetings. here, the past three weeks, had to leave on Saturday last to fill an en- gagement in Barrie. The meetings are continued this week in the Meth- ou‘ist church by the pastor of the congregation Messrs John and Alex. McTavish, of Petoskey. Mich., visited their brother. Mr. D.
