.1-n.4.num.:indl.3db » y .. MR EDITOR,--I am a black dog with a white ring round my neck. My ï¬rst experience in life opened out in the township of Artemesia, but at a very early stage of my puppyhood. I I changed my residence and Inow re- side in the township of Glenelg. I hear a great deal of talk about some man called Laurier, whose first name is \Vilfrid. I found 'out by careful observation that this man is Premier of Canada, and from the frequent‘ mention of his name I thought that I had got into high toned society, but very much to my disappointment. II have since discovered that I am .l mistaken. My owner, who is a small boy, has, it seems, got the name of this distinguished Premier. his friends being great admirers of his line of politics and evidently intend my young master for a member of {Parliament In my dog 'ish mind i this seems funny, and in conversation ’ with some of my neighborhood dogs, ,I learn that this is very common 1’ mode of flattery used by some people young master on an apple hunting 'expedition, but as I do not care for neighbor dogs and had a good time. J [On my way home I got caught in a ] tightplace ir. a fence and got myself [twisted My master then raised a 1 great fuss over this, and I do not see ‘him going after apples any more, but my leg is all right now, and although the apples are all gone we are now having a high old time on turnips. If you publish this my ï¬rst attempt at telling my daggish adventures, I our crack shot felt a little nervous. The following letter was picked up in this vicinity a few days ago. and seems to us to be worth publishing. It runs as follows :-â€"â€"- 1 One of our first class marksman Iliad an Opportunity of showing his {skill on Hallow-e’eu. Hearing some noise around his premises. and the night being dark. he thought in un- advisable to trust his valuable person outside of the house. so raising the window of the bedroom he ï¬red a. few shots from u revolver but no serious results ensued. Evidently" our crack shot felt a linln nnl'vnnu l won-u season. A remedy is being anxiously awaited by the threshers. Who will supply it? 7~- vâ€""ou'a “UV. J . A curious coincidence happened here afew days ago when the threshers, ï¬nishing up their job at 4:30 p. [11,, bad to go home for supper. This method of proceedence seems to be bemming epidemic in Glenelg this POMONA "lay never nav because of the may never have worn FANG Y BOAR l) BOOKS Regular Regular Regular To Sunday School 'Teachers!!
