On Monday evening one of the sad- dest accidents which has ever been our duty to record occurred on the Zurich road about3 miles out of town Andrew Dougall accompanied by his little son, Willie, were bringing a load of moulding sand from Grand Bend to the foundry here. Af'er leaving Zurich Andrew fell asleep. and his little boy took the lines and was driving the team. Both were seated on the front of the wagon im- mediately behind the horses. On driving down the decline near the little swamp the weight of the load caused the horses to trot, and the shaking of the wagon caused Andrew to loose his balance and he fell right at the heels of his gray horse. In an his head followed by the hind one and literally crushed the life out Ofl him. The screams of his little boy‘ were heart-tending. and a number of people soon gathered at the scene, but the victim of the accident was beyond all help.â€"Hensall correSpon~ dent in Clinton News-Record.
