Nothing has been left undone that should he done to make. the Knapp House an ideal hotel. The dining-11mm is. without a doubt. one of the finest in the Province. It is capable of seat- ing a hundred without inconvenienc- ing,r anyone. And it is furnished in mg anyone. And it is furnished in splendid style, as. in fact. is every part of the house. A better table is not set anywhere in this country. while attentive waiters anticipate your wants. In the sample rooms you are always assured of the _ best wines. liquois and cigars. Mr. Hahn has «~onducted the Knapp House here for going on three years, and he has, with- out flattering him in the least. one of the best appointed commercial houses in the Province. where travellers are always made to feel at home. Mr. Hahn makes it a point to leave nothing undesired by the public. As a land- lord he is a thoroughly capable one personally superinteuding every detail in eonuection with the management of the house. These mills are fitted up with the latest and best machinery forthe turning out of the highest grade flour manufactur- ed in this country. These mills have a capacity of 100 barrels per day. Mr. McGowan in addition to a very large local patronage, is in the enjoyment of a very extensiyc shipping trade. which extends as far as the Pacific and the Old Country, His principal brands of flour are. The Eclipse. Sovereign and Pastry Flour. The Eclipse is a blend- ed flour of Manitoba and Ontario wheat. Sovereign. Manitoba manu- factured No. 1 hard Manitoba Wheat- And wherever his flour has been in- troduced it commands a ready sale. It is safe saying. that ninety per cent. of the people in and about Durham who use this flour are unanimous in their praise of it. Mr. McGowan brings in Manitoba hard wheat by the carload which he mixes with Ontario wheat. making one of the best flours ever manufactured.
