One by one the pioneer settlers are fast leaving ins, and soon noth- ing will be left of them but a mem- ory fragrant with good and kind deeds. It is our duty to report this 'Week the passing of Mrs. Geo. Brown, sr. which occurred on Monday afternoon at one o’clock. Deceased had been ailing all Winter but a paralytic stroke was the immediate cause of death. She had reached the advanced age of 83 years. The 'late Mrs. Brown Was born on the Emerald Isle, and pos- sessed many of the blythe and love abfle characteristics of that race. Her maiden name was Irwin. She ’married Mr. Brown in Irefland, and :they emigrated to Canada in 1845. lsettklng first in Cooksville, Where they remained some eight years. Thev came then to Bentrinck, Con. 6. which was the family homestead for 45 years.
