About eight o’clock, a thumb was served, consisting of tea, cot- tee. pies ,cakes, sandwiches and other edibles, star which the ladies of the section are famous for the very tasty and tempting manner in which they are prepared. All participated in this part of the program, and when the cravings of the inner man were "fully satis- fied, the Editor of the Chronicle was invited to the chair, and a program of recitatiouns, choruses, drilis, dialogues and addresses was quickly disposed 0!, consider- ing its length. to the enjoyment 0! all present. .There were over twenty numbers on the program, yet the very best of order was ob- served till the (National Anthem closed the meeting about hair- pase eleven.
