Lawrence of Grimsby, the new principal for the High school. was here last week looikng for a residence and getting acquainted with some_0_f_tho citizens. - By a communication from Miss Martha Wright of Detroit, we have learned of the death from heart trouble of her distinguished brother at.Baltimore, whose demise was re- ported in one of the daily papers of that city as follows: “.Dr William McCarter Wright, one of the first American physicians to administer Pasteur’s serum treatment for hy- drophobia, died yesterday, July 254 at his hom'e,,1081 St. Paul street. He was 57 years of age. A native of Flesherton, Canada, Dr. wright was graduated from the University of Toronto in 1887 and the Bellevue Hospital Medical school, New York, in 1889. He was engaged in research work when the first consignment of. the Pasteur serum was received here. He came to Baltimore in 1893 and has practiced medicine here since.” Besides his widow, Dr. 'Wright is survived by five children, four daughters and one son. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. D. S. Mun- ro. Mrs. M. E. Currie and Misses Martha and Lena Wright, Detroit. The deceased was the second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wfilliam Wright of Flesherton.
