The directors of the different sub- divisions, acting through their coun- ty, district and branch organizations will make a determined effort. to bring to the minds of every indi- vidual, rural and wban, in Ontario, the advantage country, town and city would reap if Hydro were ob- tainable on the farm as it is in town and city. Equalization of Hydro rates will make for increased pro-- duction on the farms and thereby increased industry in the city. Hy- drn on the farms will not only make Ontario more prosperous, but will go a long way to solve many of the problems confronting our province, such as obtaining competent farm la. lmr, keeping farm boys and girls on the farm. and attracting and keeping the better class of emigrants on the farms. Dr. Bell explained that this was not in the province of the Depart- ment of Health. Their mission was the piexention, not the cure of dis- ease. Accordingly, a committee was appoined to wait up on the Premier asking that doctors be placed in the pioneer portions of Ontario, whe1e none are now resident. Failing in this, the Board will endeavor through its branches in old ()nta11o to do something to reliexe the situ- ation fog the winter months at least.
