From the standpoint. of attendance all records were broken. and the excellent supper served from 6 to 8 o'clock was. if possible, better than on any former occasion. With a programme of softball, football. and horseshoe pitching in the early hours of the evening, the big crowd was well entertained until dark. when the concert. programme commenced. She wore a simple frock of white flat crepe with fl'ounced skirt of silk lace with shoulder and corsage flowers. white roses edged with silver. She carried a shower bouquet. of sweetheart. roses -and babyjs breath. Her only attendant. was Miss Maude Crosken, Sister of the groom. who wore a powder blue georgette drels and hat to match and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and baby’s breath. The groom was attended by his friend. Mr. Sydney Allard. Immediately after the ceremony a dainty buffet luncheon was served from the diningroom, which was prettily decorated with white bells and streamers. Mrs. Page poured tea assisted by the bride’s cousins. Rev. Dr. A. P. Addison proposed a toast to the bride, bridesmaid and parents. The groom‘s gift to the bride was a turquoise pendant, to the bridesmaid a ring. and to the organist, an umbrella. The groom’s gift. to the best man was a ring. Later the bride am! groom left. by motor for Montreal and other points, the bride travel- ling in 8' blue crepe de chine with lemon yellow crushed straw hat. . GROSKB‘Nâ€"CUSHNIE The first part of the entertainâ€" ment consisted of readings by Miss Ada Chapman, Mrs. H. Hopkins, Archie McLean, Gordon McLean and Billie Davey, club-swinging by Miss E. Lamb, and organ in- srumental by Miss Betty \Vatt. a humorous monologue by James Langrill, an instrumental by Miss Inez Twamley, readings by Miss Kathleen Firth and Mrs. D. Lamb, violin instrumental by David Burns, and a five-minute talk by The Chronicle editor. There were also selections by the Edge Bros. and the Aberdeen orchestra which were very much enjoyed. The concert held in ”Clarke’s schoolhouse' north of Aberdeen last. Friday night was well attend- ed, when a lengthy, hilt very in- teresting programme was put on by local talent.
