Peart and son Rob spent the first of the week with the Hudson family near Hanover. There was a good attendance at the Women’s Institute in Zion Church last Thursday afternoon to hear Mrs. M. E. Lowe, R. N., Toronto, give her address on Institute work. The Zion people are always pleased to meet and hear Miss Margaret McGirr, who also spoke for a short time. Miss Lily Black gave a recitation. and Mrs. Mark Wilson of Flesherton were over on Friday and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McClocklin of town were guests on Saturday. The "Crawford Comedians” of Ben- tinck are going to give their play “Home Ties” in Zion church on Thursday evening, May 30. The McClocklin home on the 4th concession was a lively spot the latter part of last week. Mrs. F. Twamley and Mrs. Will Campbell of Welbeck. were present for a couple of days; Mr. of the week. More and more each year country homes‘. and. gardens are being bright- ened with the growth of flowers. What an attraction they are and the influence is wonderfully heartening.
