Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson and baby Donald, of Brighton, motored over Sunday and spent a few days visiting the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Carson. Mr. mom to the Priceville and Swinton Park congregations took place last Wednes- day evening at Swinton Park, when a very large crowd from both congrega- tions were present. The moderator, T. 0. Miller from Markdaxe, conducted the Opening exercises and cited the steps taken in calling a minister. Rev. Mr. Goodwill, of Hillsburg, presented the usual questions as to belief, doc- trines and loyalty, which were freely answered. The address to the congre- gation was given by Rev. Mr. Good- will and he assured the congregations that the new incumbent was a good leader and a good shepherd. God ex- pects the same attitude to his minister as to Himself; as a King does his Gov- ernor-General. He said since more good is obtained by prayer the hearers should make four request to bless by prayer, his sermon, his ministery, his prayer and presence. Rev. Mr. Grant, Erin, addressed the minister and he congratulated him on his call and hop- ed that in the future he would be blessed in his new work. The call is Mr. David Hincks, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hincks and baby Mary. visited Sun- day at Mr. Stanley Harrison’s. Mr. Geo. McLellan, of Niagara Falls. motored over Friday and his wife and Miss Brown, who have spent over a week here. returned with him Sunday. Misses Rebecca and Gretta Nichol, of London, are visiting with their many friends here. Miss Myrtle Park and friend, of Durham, visited Sunday at Mr. Wm. Mather’s and attended church service. Special music was rendered by the choir. Mrs. W. B. Patterson and daughter, Marion, are spending a few days with their aunt in Owen Sound. Miss Pick, of Fergus, spent last week with her cousins: Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Mrs. J. C. Hamilton visited on Fri- day with her sister, Mrs. R. E. Lavery, Owen Sound.
