The church': was tastefully decorated for the occa-l sion with flowers, fruit and vegetables. There was a splendid attendance at both services, the church being filled to its capacity. Rev. Mr. COOper, pastor of Hanover and Lamlash United chur- ches, conducted the afternoon service,1 and preached a splendid Thanksgivingi anniversary sermon from Psalm 126: 3, J "The Lord hath done great things forl us, whereof we are glad.” In spite of} lpresent conditions we have a great many conveniences and comforts in our ordinary life which a few generations ago were absolutely unknown, and which were obtained oy the efforts of men of the past. Mrs. Clarence McGirr of Durham sang the offertory solo, which was very much enjoyed. The choir also contributed a number. In the evening, Rev. Mr. Galloway of the Mulock Baptist church, had charge of the service. He took as his text Isaiah 60:13, “The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together to beautify the place of my sanctuary and I will make the place of my feet glorious.” Mr. Galloway expressed his deep inter- est in the Crawfofrd people and paid a tribute to the pastor, Rev. Mr. Heeney and the former pastor, Rev. Mr. Young. The church is beautifled by the lives of its members and by the sacrifices that are made by them. A solo was rendered by Mrs. Galloway while a quartette, consisting of Messrs. Ait- chison and Bierworth, Miss Marion Machesney and Mrs. E.
