As it is a long time since you had the privilege of putting among your many items a correspondence from Lamlash, 1 will endeavor to note a few oi the many happenings of our little town. Mr. Henry Hughes was the victim of a serious barn raising accident in Sullivan Tp. about two weeks ago, and as a result had a portion of his left foo tamputated. He is recover- ing rapidly under the care of Dr. Smith, of this place. [Dan Davies, of the Acme White Lead .Works, claims to hold the re- cord {or catching the largest small mouth black bass ever caught. The accident is said tohave happened on July 28. 1898, on the famous Lake St. Clair fishing grounds] A fisherman on Lair San Claire. ' ’Bont six mile off from shore. Stewart. of Welbeck at a late hour one night last week, and in order to get his freedom used a revolver, fire- ing at Mr. Stewart as he hurriedly left the premises. Mr. John Heddle, General Merch- ant, was in Durham on Thursday last. ‘ Mr. Ralph Brunt, better known as Cattle King Brunt, shipped from Elm wood on Thursday. Now, Mr. Editor, I hope 1 have not taken up too much Space in your important paper. Perhaps if this budget be tooJong, the next may be longer as business is booming. There is some talk of Mr. George Johnston joining the Muloch foot-ball team. What is the matter with getting. up a team of our own and keeping the boys together? M1. and M13, Neil McCallum visited Rev. M1. Burns, late pastor of Mul- 0011. but nO’w of Sbrathaven, and found .\l1. Burns and family all well, but g1ieving over the sad death of Mis.B111ns. We sympathize “ith them in this their sad affliction. Mr. McCallum says that Mr. Burns in- tends to pay a visit to his old field of labor, .\ 11loch Baptist church. I am sure he will find many friends. Don’t forget Lamlash. Mr. Hugh McCallum, who is now engaged with Mr. William Pearson, of Allan Park, passed through here on his way to visit Owen Sound friends. Mr. Filman O’Neil. of Muloch, passed through here on his way to visit his siscer, in Tiverton. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Currie, of Muloch, passed through here on their way to visit. Walkerton friends. Mr. George Mighton’s barn raising came 03 very successfully, which is a credit to both framer and captains. Mr. Sandy McDonald and Mr. Mal- colm McEachern were the chosen captains. It was a very close contest Malcolm’s side coming but a little on the lead, which is, no doubt, a credit to Mack, as Sandy has never been beaten before. After the raising the Muloch foot-hall team, accompanied by some of our boys, played a delight- ful game of foot-ball. , Bright’s Disease â€" Insidious! deceptive i relentless i has {oiled hundreds of trials by medical science to stem the tide of its ravagesâ€"and not until South American Kidney Cure proved beyond a doubt its power to turn back the tide. was thereagleam of anything but des air for the victim of this dread form 0 kidney Master Bob and Miss Fanny For estnr, of Muloch, paid a visit to Mr. Harristou’s, of Sullivan.
