We wish them a safe voyage and re- turn, nnd hope to hear of them how jg. . pleasant time in the “Lan’ o’ “I. Rather.” Mr. John McArthur of the Town Line. North, met with a serious ac- cident on the morning of Saturday last. He lately purchased a Tam- worth boar from the Sproule farm. near Markdale, and on the morning mentioned he found the animal at- tacking a heifer. On going to the rescue, the boar turned on Mr. Mc- Arthur and ripped open the back of his leg, the wound being over three inches long and half an inch deep. It required five stitches to close the wound, and under the care of Dr Bovle it is hoped that no serious re- sults mll ensue. Sentence of death was passed on the boar. and we ex pect it has been carried out. The heifer mentioned was also badly in- jured, and is being attended to by M. McIntyre, V. 8.. of Priceville. The great topic here this past week has been the sale of the Me- Gowan property, which was accom- plished on Saturday. Mr. Alex. D. McLeod being the purchaser. \Ve have known Mr. McLeod for many years, and nlways found him an honest, hardworking an] obliging neighbor. We hope he will have abundant success in the business he has gone into, and we are perfectly satisfied that if strict attention to business, square dealing and no in- terference with other peoples’ busi- ness will do it, his success is a fore- gone conclusion. A hearty welcome is extended to him by his many friends in Priceville. p.10"â€" ‘dMfldfl‘L PRICEVILLE The ” 12 Revengee " is the name chosen by our young sportsmen for the football team organized here some tiny: .
