Mr. Reid was pre sented with a handsome gold ring with initials inscribed and Mrs. Reid with a beautiful silver tea service and tray. The gifts were accompanied by an apprOpriate. address to which Mr. Reid replied thanking the doners for their much appreciated gifts of the present as well as of the past and under feelings of deep emotion ex- pressed his sorrow at parting With the parents and children of No 3 among whom he had iived and labor- ed so pleasantly the past eighteen years. Refreshments were served and the evening was enjoyably spent with music and other amusements. In parting “ God be with you till we meet again.” was sung and regrets were eXpressed at Mr. and Mrs. Reid’s departure. At the closing exercises in Mr. Reid’s school his daughters Maggie and May and son Willie were presented with addresses and much appreciated gifts from their school- mates Who were sorry to part with them. The sad news was received here last week from Cranbrooli, B. He was unmarried. His re mains are being brought home for in- terment in the family plot at Price- ville. I There was again a big crowd in the town hall here on Wednesday of last week when Mr. A T.
