Early on Monday morning of last week the Anderson family on the old Henderson homestead near Mt. Zion Methodist church suï¬ered a heavy loss by the destruction of their home by ï¬re. Mr. Anderson, Jr. had risen and started a ï¬re in the cook stove. He went out to the barn and soon after the house was found to be in flames which made such rapid head w'av that the inmates yet in bed barely escaped with their lives. The contents including an organ. sewing machine, and' other valuables were nearly all destroy ed. also about $6 in cash' Attempting to save some of the contents Mr. Anderson Sr.. was severely burned on the hands and arms.
