Some of the farmers have finished seeding while others have much to do yet. June 18th, high noon, the occasion being the marriage of their daughter. Miss Emma, to Mr. Jesse McClure, of To- ronto. They left on the afternoon train to take up their residence in the Queen City, 309 Concord Ave. We wish the young couple long life and happiness. - Miss Maggie Lindsay, accompanied by her brother Edward. left. some time ago for Invermay, N. W. We wish them success in their new home. Mrs. John Hewitt, who has been under the weather the past couple of weeks, we are pleased to say is im- proving at, time of writing. ‘ 5' The hand of death again visited Q this community on Monday. De- ceased had been ill for some time but until a week or so ago it was heped he would be able to fight his way back to health and strength again, i but it was otherwise decreed and on the above mentioned date the Spark of life fled despite medical skill and loving attendance for all that could be done was done for him. All who knew Joe will miss his cheerful face and winning manner. His remainsl were interred on Wednesday after- noon in Trinity church cemetery, whither they were followed by a large number of sorrowing friends and neighbors. His teacher and schoolmates joined to pay a last trib- ute by marching alongside the hearse from house to grave. The casket was most beautifully decorated with wreaths of flowers.
