The Whitby Archives acquired copies of military service files from Library and Archives Canada for some of the First World War soldiers from Whitby. Military service files can contain attestation papers, medical histories, casualty forms, and records of service. They help tell the story of a soldier's or officer's time spent in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. We have made available the military service files of: Cullen Hay Perry, Gordon Algernon Vanstone, Howard Neil Vanstone, Charles Henry Wigston, and William Wilkinson.
