- A black and white portrait photograph of Robert Peter Perry (1850-1948). This picture of Mr. Perry was taken in the living room of his home at Bracebridge. A Christmas tree can be seen at left. Behind Mr. Perry is a portrait of his grandmother, Mrs. Peter Perry (1795-1881), painted by Nelson Cook at Toronto in 1836. The painting, along with one of her husband, Peter Perry, was presented by the descendents of Robert Ebenezer Perry to the Town of Whitby in 1972.

- Robert Peter Perry was a son of Robert Ebenezer Perry, the eldest son of Whitby's founder Peter Perry. He was born at Whitby on September 2, 1850, and attended Upper Canada College in Toronto. In 1869 he and his father moved to Bracebridge where Robert Ebenezer Perry opened a store and post office. From 1869 to 1936 Robert Peter Perry was postmaster of Bracebridge. He died at Bracebridge on May 28, 1948 at the age of 97, and is buried at St. Thomas Cemetery, Bracebridge.
