Marjorie Georgina Ruddy Details
Mary Marjorie Georgina Ruddy was born at Millbrook, Ontario, on February 2, 1908 to Margaret Leach and Robert Ruddy. Known to her family as Marjorie, she was the second of three children.

The family moved to Whitby in 1917 when Robert Ruddy was appointed Junior Judge of the County of Ontario (now Durham Region) where he served until his retirement on December 1, 1936.

Marjorie grew up at the family home at 501 Byron Street South and attended Whitby High School and Ontario Ladies' College (now Trafalgar Castle School). The house remained in the Ruddy family until 1993.
