Details
The village of Colborne and rural Cramahe have a shared history of heritage barns. These meticulous illustrations of homes and barns appeared in the 1878 Illustrated Historical Atlas of Northumberland & Durham Counties. The design and finish of the barns ranged from simple and straightforward to fairly detailed. The cupola, the small projecting tower on the roof, was sometimes quite elaborate in its carved ornamentation.
