DetailsPostcard companies often travelled to cities, towns, and villages to photograph the major streets and scenic spots of the area which were then made available to local retailers for customer purchase. King Street was a natural draw for postcard views with its many storefronts and wide expanse. These postcard companies, as well as later collectors, did not always caption the street name correctly on the front of postcards. On occasion some streets are identified as Main Street and Front Street, or an entirely other street name misidentification. These postcards show subtle changes in storefronts and preferred transportation.
