We all know James Bond, Agent 007. But what you may not know is that the character may have been inspired by Camp X founder, Sir William Stephenson. James Bond author Sir Ian Fleming was a friend of Stephenson's and it is believed that Fleming attended Camp X in some capacity.
Along with using Stephenson’s spy career as inspiration for Bond, Fleming seems to have also taken another important trait from Stephenson for his spy: his drink of choice. According to Fleming, Stephenson “used to make the most powerful martinis in America and serve them in quart glasses.”
