Milltown Mill and Blacksmith Shop, 1920 Details

Milltown Mill was one of three mills established along the Thessalon River that used water power for its' operations. It was located the farthest upriver north of Holcombe Mills in Little Rapids and Ansonia.

The mill was apparently built by a Mr. Bell who sold it to a W.J. Miller whose sons operated the mill for many years. "A sawmill, gristmill and shingle mill operated under one roof...until the property was sold to a power company about 1920."
