During the Second World War, Marjorie was the first photographer in the Canadian Women's Army Corps (CAWC).
She served as an X-ray darkroom technician at Chorley Park Military Hospital, a press liaison officer at the Trinity Barracks on Harbord Street, and a member of the CWAC public relations office. She served from 1942 until 1945.
