Postcards from the Past
Ontario County Courthouse, 2004
DetailsPostcards became very popular in the early 1900's. They were a quick and easy way to send a letter to loved ones and friends.
Postcards were rectangular in shape and would typically be mailed without an envelope. Cards displayed an image on one side and on the opposite side was a place to write your letter and the address of the person receiving the card. This area was also be where the post stamp and postal marks would be issued.
