The Rasberry Nursing Home was located at 72 Martin Street, Milton. The house was built as a rental property for William Eager, sometime between 1855 and 1875.
William Eager came to Milton as Registrar of the High Court of Justice for Halton and was the first treasurer of the Town of Milton.
Margaret Rasberry operated the nursing home from 1933 to 1943. Her patients were expectant mothers and people recovering from minor surgery performed by local doctors. It is estimated that some 500 babies were born in the home.
