Anniversary Dinner PartyA large number of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rasberry on Tuesday afternoon and evening in honor of their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Married on the 11th concession of East Flamboro, Mrs. Rasberry recalls that winter the snow was so deep that they drove in their cutter over fences when going on their honeymoon trip.
Following their marriage the couple farmed in Kilbride for 29 years before retiring and moving to Milton, where they have resided ever since. Both enjoy good health and are members of St. Paul’s United Church.
There are five children, Russell at Kilbride; Archie of Carlisle; Morley at Milton; Mrs. Mervin Ezeard, Milton; and Mrs. D. Nettie, Toronto and nine grandchildren. The happy couple received many beautiful flowers, cards and gifts. Friends and relatives were present from Kilbride, Carlisle, Freelton, Winona, Hamilton, Toronto and Milton. We join with other friends in congratulations and best wishes for many more happy years for this Milton couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rasberry enjoyed dinner at Hawthorne Lodge Sunday evening as guests on the occasion of their Anniversary. Nineteen members of the family were present.
