In 1977, the Lindsay Public Library, under the direction of Librarian Moti Tahiliani, undertook a project to catalogue the local architecture of then Victoria County (now city of Kawartha Lakes.)

The inventory of physical items remaining from this project includes three volumes of black and white photographs (nearly 144 photographs), three volumes of black and white negatives, three volumes of colour slide photos (a total of 538 slides), 31 loose slides, 25 loose black and white photographs, one binder containing the 92-page typed essay, 16 cassette tapes, and project members' log books. In recent years (2015-2017), these items (except for the log books) were digitized (thanks to a grant from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport) and made available online in the format you see here.

Every effort has been made to preserve the integrity of the original project. As much as possible, images have been matched to the plates mentioned in the essay. Unfortunately, over time, many photos and slides have gone missing. A list of missing items is included at the end of the project.

The essay is presented in its sections, which can be viewed using the navigation links on the left, or by selecting "Next Panel" at the bottom of the page.

The photos can also be viewed without the essay:
- Colour Slide Photos
- Black and White Photos
- Loose Slides

The oral history portion of the project is also included with as much information as is available about the recordings.
