The Clinton Planing mill was one of a number of secondary industries that were established in the Thessalon area.
The Clinton Planing Mill owners were J. & R. Struthers and Theodore Clinton. The mill was located at the foot of Lorne St. in the 1880s. In addition to planing, this mill was also a sash and door factory.
